The flight attendant is suspicious of a young girl and an older man. After takeoff, she discovers a three-word note in the bathroom

When a man and a teenage girl boarded a flight from Seattle to San Francisco, Alaska Airlines flight attendant Shelia Frederick was suspicious. The man was elegantly dressed while the girl was not and refused to make eye contact with anyone. While doing her job on the plane, Shelia couldn’t stop thinking about the girl and eventually came up with a brilliant plan that required real courage. A courage that meant saving this young girl from a dangerous situation. Shelia Frederick, you are a hero, my friend! @AlaskaAir Flight Attendant Saves Girl, Signs of Human Trafficking Startup Monday, February 6, 2017 Unable to ignore the girl, Shelia desperately tried to make eye contact while serving snacks on board the flight.

She reported her suspicions to a co-worker and the two worked together to distract the man while Shelia tried to get the girl’s attention. “Eventually she looked up and the look in her eyes was just heartbreaking, so I excused myself to the bottom and broke down,” Shelia said in an interview on Good Morning Britain. She came up with a brilliant plan: she placed a note and a pen in one of the plane’s toilets, then locked it, intending to open it only for the girl. While her colleague got the man’s attention, Shelia pointed to the bathroom and pretended to write.

Then she waited and hoped the girl understood. Luckily, the girl excused herself to go to the bathroom. The man stayed with her outside the bathroom, but Shelia refused to leave the area and kept an eye on the man. “I left a note in one of the toilets,” Shelia said. «She responded to the note and said, ‘I need help.’ » Shelia informed the pilot, who made radio contact with ground control for authorities to arrest the man upon landing

Shelia stayed in touch with the young woman she saved from human trafficking, and the two spoke several times over the years. The young girl even attends university, according to the Western Journal. “If you see something, say something,” Shelia informs the others.
